Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the questions Peoria customers ask most about lamp repair, rewiring, restoration and pricing.
Lamp Repair Questions & Answers
How much does lamp repair cost in Peoria, AZ?
Simple socket, switch, plug and cord work is our most affordable service. Full rewiring, multi-socket fixtures and restoration cost more because they take longer. Every estimate is free and quoted before work begins. Call (623) 979-1532.
How long does a lamp repair take?
Most repairs are completed in two to five business days. Simple jobs are frequently same-day when parts are in stock. Restoration and specially sourced hardware take longer, and we give a realistic date at intake.
Do you repair antique and vintage lamps?
Yes, that is one of our specialties. We use period-appropriate cloth cord, brass-shell sockets and original-style switches so the lamp is electrically new inside and visually unchanged outside.
Is my old lamp safe to keep using?
If you notice heat at the plug or socket, crackling, flicker, a loosening bulb, cracked cord insulation, or a tripping breaker, unplug it immediately and have it inspected.
Can you convert a lamp to LED or add a dimmer?
Yes. We fit LED-compatible dimmers and sockets and verify performance with the exact bulbs you intend to use so there is no buzz or ghost glow.
Do you replace lamp shades and harps?
We do. Shade fitting, harp sizing, finials and risers are part of routine work, and correct harp height matters for both proportion and heat clearance.
Do you offer commercial lamp repair?
Yes. Hotels, restaurants, salons, offices and property managers can arrange batched pickup and delivery on a coordinated maintenance schedule.
What areas do you serve?
Peoria, Glendale, Phoenix, Surprise, Sun City, El Mirage, Avondale, Goodyear, Tolleson, Litchfield Park and surrounding Maricopa County communities.
Do you charge for estimates?
Never. Estimates and honest advice are free, including when we tell you a lamp is not worth repairing.
What should I bring with my lamp?
The base, harp, finial, shade and the bulb that was in use, plus any loose hardware. The bulb often explains heat damage and premature socket failure.
Can you repair chandeliers and pendants?
Yes. Crystal, brass and multi-arm fixtures are regular work for us, including cluster socket replacement and chain or canopy rewiring.
